US AWACS, Block 30/35

Mission Training Centers, US Air Force

In 1999, PLEXSYS was awarded the contract to provide and support the USAF AWACS Block 30/35 MTC sites around the world. The first of these systems became operational in 2001. In 2014, PLEXSYS was awarded a follow on contract to provide continued support for these trainers. The AWACS Block 30/35 MTC provides affordable, high-fidelity simulation of the AWACS mission system hardware, capability and performance by emulating the system’s active and passive sensors, data links, and communication systems. Whether it’s a full mission crew, small team or individual training, the MTC enables events to be conducted in a stand-alone configuration or networked with other virtual or live participants. The MTC also provides a full range of AWACS mission employment options to include the Distributed Mission Operations Network (DMON). The MTC supports AWACS Initial Qualification Training (IQT), Mission Qualification Training (MQT), Upgrade Training (UGT) and Continuation Training (CT) environments. AWACS MTC sites operate at all US AWACS locations: Tinker AFB, Kadena AB and Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson.
