PLEXSYS’ EnGen and ASCOT 7 Working Together for Seamless Scenario Development
EnGen is a distributed computing framework tailored for modeling and simulation, and it enables multiple PLEXSYS products to perform environment generation. EnGen allows the user to deploy selected models and services onto a distributed network leveraging available hardware to spread the processing load, providing a 3D viewing capability and a modeling interface to process any live and simulated data sets. In a session, EnGen provides framework capabilities through the Master Server and Server Node. As an extension of the Master Server, the Server Node can distribute the workload required per machine for environment generation. EnGen’s scalability allows it to be deployed on a single laptop or high-end, rack-mounted server hardware with many varied clients. Unlike other Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) frameworks, EnGen’s scalable and open architecture provides compatibility with a wide variety of environment generators.
PLEXSYS Releases ASCOT 7.2 with New Features
PLEXSYS released the much-anticipated ASCOT 7.2 software in February 2020. ASCOT 7.2 brings significant new functionality and scaling capability to Distributed Training Centers. With its intuitive user interface (UI), ASCOT 7.2 is readily mastered, allowing for quick scenario development and execution. The UI for ASCOT 7.2 has been developed from several years of direct customer meetings and feedback, resulting in a user experience unmatched in the industry. The PLEXSYS team has worked diligently to ensure that ASCOT 7.2 is a future-proof capability that is easily accessible and employable in the synthetic environment.
