CAMAS, WASH (February 28, 2017) – PLEXSYS Interface Products, Inc. today announced that it has been selected by L3 Link Simulation & Training to provide system support to L3 Link’s IDEAtion Center. PLEXSYS Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) installed the Advanced Simulation Combat Operations Trainer (ASCOT), the Direct Link Interface (DLI) and the DIS Packet Analyzer (DPA) at the facility in Arlington, Texas. The PLEXComm Suite of radio simulation software has been part of the IDEAtion Center for several months now.
The IDEAtion center is where L3 collaborates with design and engineering industry leaders on revolutionary simulation technology. Recognizing the need for a paradigm change in modeling and simulation for the DoD, L3 created this high-fidelity, physics-based center focused on the total mission rather than one component. Its innovative Live-Virtual-Constructive (LVC) simulation environment brings together space, air, surface and subsurface entities and applies them collaboratively to exercises. This allows users to evaluate tactical responses to complex scenarios. Furthermore, it provides opportunities to measure the impact of system-level solutions in the context of an increasingly sophisticated anti-access & area denial (A2/AD) adversarial environment.
In addition to installing the PLEXSYS software, SMEs provided training to L3 simulation experts to facilitate future use of the simulation software. L3 integrated ASCOT and DLI with its Predator Mission Aircrew Training Systems (PMATS) to demonstrate a higher fidelity of training for PMATS users. PLEXSYS is very proud to be a part of the L3 team at the IDEAtion Center in Arlington and looks forward to supporting future demonstrations.
